Nicole's Quilt Done!

I have been working on a comfort quilt for Nicole a jewelry artist in the Methow Valley up in Washington State. Her house, workshop and forest burned down last Summer. You can see her post on her blog about it HERE Also check out the rest of her blog, she makes beautiful one of a kind jewelry.

I

finally finished Nicole's quilt and it is ready to go to her new home. I want to thank: Brigette from Oklahoma, Hilda from New Mexico, Kim from Arizona, Marcia from Maryland, Mary Jane from Georgia, Misha from Washington, Pat from Iowa, Pat from New Mexico, Patty from Oklahoma, Sandy from Texas, and Suze from California. All of you sent beautiful blocks to make this quilt for Nicole and her family.

Beautiful quilt! I love the feathers you quilted--so soft looking and a nice compliment to the blocks.

Hello. We are Nicole's mother and father. Your gift to Nicole, Derek and Cymone is incredible in many different ways: It's an unexpected example of human kindness that we rarely see in this world. Unfortunately we know very little about you, but you, your artistic gift and your circle of friends who contributed are truly impressive and loving people. It's an exquisite work of art that must have taken untold years or training and hours of painstaking work. Nicole the artist will find a place of honor to display your beautiful gift in their home. Nicole and her family are extremely strong and loving people, and you can be assured that your wonderful gift will be paid forward as often as they encounter people in need. Thank you from all of us who love Nicole and her family and are watching them heal, often through kind acts such as yours.

Ami, your feathers are fantastic! Beautifully loose and meandering .. that quilt will drape wondrously.

Great job!

Thank you for the wonderful post Mom and Dad. When I read about Nicole's loss my heart just went out to her and her family. I wanted to do something and saw that one of the things she was asking for was quilts so being a quilter I felt moved to make one for her and her family. I hope it brings them lots of joy.
